The weary traveler reluctantly told the curious boy at the bus stop about a mysterious phrase, that when said, people react harshly. “I love delicious red apples”, he told the boy, “now be careful.”

A series of unfortunate events ensued: expulsion from school on day one, juvie, 10-years in prison, some with solitary confinement, all before he decided to stop saying “I love delicious red apples” to anyone.

Years past and the boy, now a wise man, made eye contact with the weary traveler standing on a sidewalk across the street. Finally, the boy thought, he could get answers so he called him over. A passing bus struck the traveler dead as he stepped off the curve.
