Heart Stopper

A limerick of human mortality.

a red glowing broken heart.

Tiny pumping machine.
The scalpel is ready to slice, it is very keen.
Maintaining life is what it does.
But this heart is aged, it does not pump as good as it was.
It stops, and the body fades despite the efforts of the machine.
