As someone who focuses best when my hands have something to do — whether it’s tapping the desk, clicking a pen, or doodling — I know personally how helpful and enjoyable it can be to have a fidget toy around at work or school.

For your benefit and mine, here is a list of 5 fidget toys that I have found to be helpful, fun to use, and non-disruptive in work settings.

I hope this is helpful! Let me know in the comments if any of these have benefitted you.

  1. Fidget cubes

I have this exact version myself, and it’s worked wonders. With different levers and buttons on each side, if I become bored, I can simply turn the cube, and BAM! Something new!

This is a fun gadget that has helped me stayed focused for a good period of time.

2. Pop fidget toys

Personally, these aren’t my favorite, though I’ve heard people rave about them. My sister enjoys playing with these for hours on end.

These toys come in all shapes, colors, and sizes. As they’re trending, you can find them all over the internet in a million varieties.

You pop the bubbles in in whatever order satisfies you, then turn around the toy and pop them back. A nice, calming toy for a break or to use during a lecture.

3. Squish-able toys

I have this squish-able yellow Chimmy toy myself, though there’s no need to get this exact model. Squish-able toys come in all shapes, sizes, colors, and brands as well. They have also been highly trending for a few years.

This is my favorite fidget toy. Though the foam does crack and begin to break after good use, while they last, squishable toys are very satisfying, nondisruptive, and stress-releasing.

4. Infinity cubes

I have a plastic infinity cube — the one shown is eco-friendly. An infinity cube is a fun contraption that “infinitely” folds in on itself, allowing for a satisfying geometric feat and unending fidgeting.

5. Plastic adjustable chains

I really want to get one of these for myself — I just saw one the other day and felt sparks of excitement.

They’re quite fun and can be twisted into any number of shapes and forms. Take it as a geometric competition, or just absently crush and stretch these chains to your heart’s extent.

That’s all for now!

I sincerely hope these fidget toy recommendations can help you find something that helps you focus, eases your stress, and brings some fun into your daily life.

Follow along if you’ve enjoyed! I’m always happy to have more come along for the ride.
