The Playground
Calvin sat quietly while the hustle of the playground happened around him — tall metal, wood, and dangling objects crawling with other children scurrying about producing laughter, screams, and parents’ fearful warnings.
A tiny Rollie Pollie moves across his palm up to his dirty little fingers as he sat carefully observing its grey body armor, antennas, and tiny feet. It suddenly balls up as another child approached, Ewww!, the child screamed, then quickly turns, and climbs up the ladder to the top of the slide.
The banker clears his throat bringing Clavin back to signing the mortgage application.
