Closing of Minds by Editors & Publishers

Professions that once inspired by disseminating fresh ideas now censor with rules silly beyond belief.

Grammarly is a squawking parrot in writers’ nightmares. Logic has clearly bitten the dust if this is considered some kind of guiding light. A 2nd Dark Age is descending on the world thanks to full-blown psychopaths like Trumpty-Dumbty, Putin, & other spit-for-brains “leaders”, but the lights are being extinguished in publishing & writing as well with a tsunami of programs like Grammarly & other such sludge washing up on our self-expressive shores.

Ask anyone if they prefer seeing “7837” in their reading material or one that tediously spells it out “seven thousand eight hundred thirty-seven”. 36 letters, a hyphen, & 4 spaces: that’s 41 units versus the 4 that “7837” requires. A 10–1 ratio! Come on editors! Is this that revolutionary a discovery?

Medium has been resounding recently with the gagging of writers gasping for air as they struggle with the lamebrained regimentation of Grammarly & other censorious programs flushing their self-expression & common sense down the pedantic drain. I’ve preferred instead to pour the sludge of narrowminded uniformity down the same sewer I sent Beowulf & the other “great classics” written in pre-English which left me & my cellmates crying for freedom from our schooljails & jailors. I had no interest in learning an obsolete Old English just to read a few silly stories.
