Read below for all necessary Sheeran-related knowledge

Ed Sheeran has already played Páirc Uí Chaoimh in Cork on May 4th, 5th and 6th, Boucher Playing Fields in Belfast on May 9th, and Pearse Stadium in Galway May 12th & 13th.

This week you’ll hear him playing the loving sounds of “Perfect” and the up-tempo beat of “Shape Of You” from Pearse Stadium in Galway, before finishing his astonishing nine date tour of Ireland at the Phoenix Park in Dublin on Wednesday May 16th, Friday May 18th, and Saturday May 19th.

Tickets? Any left… Please?

Most of the gigs sold out almost immediately, certainly an impressive feat. A select number of tickets are still available (at the time of writing) for the final date at Phoenix Park in Dublin. Aiken Promotions is warning all gig-goers about bogus sellers and touts. Due to strict resale restrictions it has been stated that resold tickets will not be accepted, and those ticket holders will be refused entry.

In this instance Evopass are unable to help out fans, which is unfortunate and we apologise for that. In order to allow resale in situations such as this a stringent security mechanism will need to be put in place, which requires us to officially partner with Ed. Presently, that is not the case, but we will be working on this for his next tour!

Our Top Tip

Be aware that the stage is set quite far into the park, allow 25–30 mins to reach the venue and go through security checks from the entrance gate of the park.

Starting Times?

Doors open at 5pm, and no early queuing will be permitted. The stage times are as follows:

Now that is a serious line up!

Our top track from the supporting acts has to go to Jamie Lawson’s “Wasn’t expecting that”. Released two years ago, it has since amassed over 19 million hits on YouTube and has an appropriately ‘Sheeran-esque’ sound and story-line to it.

Be sure to let us know if you liked it live as much as we do! You can tweet us @evopass

Travel?

Each venue has signs directing you to the correct entrance for your seating or standing area. Follow the coloured route or directions indicated on your ticket. As you can appreciate, traffic (cars and pedestrians!) will increase in the area, so plan your journey and allow extra time. With over five billion streams of Shape Of You alone it’s bound to be busy, folks!

Do yourself a favour and try to leave the car at home and use public transport. An Garda Síochána will be managing traffic in the areas around each venue - garda.ie has more information.

Here’s a quick map of the park from the spire, for the Dublin gigs!

Dublin Bus route from Westmoreland Street to Phoenix Park

Phoenix Park, Dublin - Wed, May 16th, Fri, 18th and Sat, May 19th

By LUAS Red Line (Our Choice!): The Luas runs a very frequent service from Abby street (and all other stops) to Heuston Station. Alternatively you can walk from Museum stop also. This is the easiest and quickest route to the concert.

By Car: No parking is available on the streets around the venue. The Garda will be managing traffic, and illegally parked cars may be clamped or towed away. Gig-goers are strongly encouraged to use public transport.

By Rail: Regular Irish Rail services will run during the concerts; the closest stop is Dublin Heuston. From here Phoenix park is a quick two min walk, however be aware that the stage is set quite far into the park, allow 25–30 mins to reach the venue and go through security checks from the entrance gate of the park

By Dublin Bus: The 26, 66, 66a, 66b and 67 leave from Westmoreland street frequently and will drop patrons off outside the courts. All other routes are detailed on the Dublin Bus website.

By Taxi: The drop-off and collection points will be along the quays and at Heuston station.

If you still can’t decide whats best for you, check out travel for Ireland’s page for Ed Sheeran! They will be able to answer any questions you may have.

Security?

Gig goers are advised to not bring a bag unless it absolutely necessary. Anyone without a bag will be fast-tracked through security. If you are bringing a bag it must be smaller than an A4 piece of paper. These bags will be searched, which will slow down the queuing process.

Banned items include: Umbrellas, large-lens professional cameras or any form of video recorder, flag poles, selfie sticks, sticks for banners, any item that may be used as a weapon, bottles, glass vessels, cans, flasks, frisbees, illegal substances, scooters, skateboards or other skates, laser devices, prams or pushchairs, inflatable or folding chairs, suitcases, laptops, illegal merchandise, hampers and cool boxes, air horns, and all animals except service dogs and guide dogs.

ID?

Yes, you’ll need it. To gain entry you need your tickets and booking confirmation, the credit card the tickets were bought with, and a valid form of ID. Anyone without ID will be turned away.

Under-18s must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Free Tag-a-Kid safety wristbands are available from customer-care points inside and outside the venues, to help reunite lost children with their parents or guardians should they get separated from each other.

All of the above information, including travel and security measures, has been retrieved from official sources.

Weather?

The weather looks good for all three nights. 14 degrees and low chance of rain on Wednesday, with Friday and Saturday having higher temperatures and a slightly greater chance of rain.
