Experience in a Startup: Why does it important?

As an employee of a fast-growing startup, I feel very lucky because of my skills gained through the experience which are obtained only in the startup ecosystem. Here are some important points for my nearly 2 years career in a successful startup, the dearest Evreka.

Dynamic Environment

Believe me, things are happening fast in a startup comparing to traditional corporate companies. Periods do not reflect the same power for startups. They are much more important for us. I mean for example in a month, you can find a lot of new challenges that you have to deal with for your company and also for the team. To adapt yourself to the market and for the new maneuvers, you have to act suddenly as soon as possible in order not to miss opportunities. Following all the new trends in the market, and quickly adapt them is so important for us to survive. Because when you compare with big companies, you do not have the same opportunities such as budget, human resources, and know-how. So, follow, think, action. It will be beneficial for you to think fast and produce “ to-do-point” action plans for your interest mostly in a critical time.

Fast Learning Period

When you have started to work, you will see the marginal effect of you to the startup. I mean, for the small teams a person in the team will have a lot of responsibilities for her position. While saying a lot of I mean for example if you are a fresh graduated and you have started to work for a specific department probably you will need to consider the daily task and the strategic decisions which you can experience for a corporate company in the later stage of your career path.So, related to other points you will learn much more than you think. Time management, dealing with deadlines, multi-tasking, management, creativity, serving for a big goal, etc. You will learn a lot of things in a short period.

A Child of a New Era: Technology

When I see a conversation on the topic of “digitalization / digital transformation” I cannot stop myself to ask “Reallyyy?”. Because when we think about the facilities of 2020, this looks a little bit awkward to me. Actually we did not born into digital transformation, we exist because of that. Efficiency is becoming a key component of your life and you will sustain it with cutting-edge technological developments. Sincerely, you do not have any other chance other than utilizing every part of the technology's most efficient way.

Be a Part of Culture: Build It

As a Talent Specialist, I can easily say that the culture of the company is the most important element for success. Because every action for a company is a reflection of culture and the values stand for. Building a culture for a startup and being a part of this process is another thing that you can experience in a startup. You will adopt the culture, the product. Learning and developing is a continuous process. One of the most important common characteristics of every individual in EvrekaCrew is that they are open and hunger for development.

Create fun and a little weirdness

Do you know what it’s like to look at Earth with funny party glasses? We work hard. We’re having so much fun!

It is either zero or one

Work is either done or not done. Even if you’ve completed 75% of a job, you’re still not finished.
