SDGs for Evreka: Be a power for change!
Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are the collection of 17 goals that were created to achieve a sustainable and better world. They are set in 2015 by the United Nations General Assembly and intended to be achieved in 2030 with the motto of “leave no one behind.”

As we look at the goals, it is clear that they are interdependent. Meaning that actions and the efforts for them will be in a mutual relationship with each other.
As Turkey’s fast-growing startup, Evreka, has always positioned itself for efficiency in a sustainable framework. To sustain efficiency in waste management and city cleaning operations around the world, Evreka always focus to provide the most comprehensive solution to find a solution for a common problem in every part of the world: inefficiency of waste management. Due to having the motto of #AlwaysBetter for every step we take, push us to focus on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to see the bigger picture. As we learn more and more in this significant subject, we understood the connection between our unique solutions and the SDGs are also reflected by EvrekaCrew values. After long discussions and all the materials provided by experts, we finally concluded the relation of SDGs and the Evreka. I mean, the contribution of Evreka to the SDGs via its revolutionary solutions.
Sustainable Development Goal 7:
Ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable, and modern energy for all.
Solutions provided by Evreka have contributed to SDG 7 in a significant way. In this table, it can be easily seen that using Evreka products increases the efficiency of distance, duration, and workload.
Apart from this data, the usage of paperwork which is a big part of the waste management system can be reduced up to 80% with Evreka solutions. In this part, it should be stated that managing waste management operations by using paper in a random way is a common point for occurring inefficiency.
Sustainable Development Goal 9:
Build resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable industrialization and foster innovation
In 2019, 6.404.300 kg of carbon emission was prevented. In the first half of 2020, this amount is equal to 4.080.210 kg. With the Evreka solutions, the number of vehicles used in waste collection and city cleaning processes is reduced by 20%
The total budget allocated for our R&D studies in 2019 and in the first half of 2020 is 66,590,18 USD. In 2019, 100 hours of technical sessions were given to our customers. Technical education was given in the amount of 65 hours to our customers and 50 hours to employees in 2020. The time we allocate for research is 16,020 hours. We have supported %7 of our employees for their master studies which equal 300 hours for 2020.
Sustainable Development Goal 11:
Make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable
In 2019, 60M kg waste of 1B population was collected thanks to Evreka, while this amount is 75M kg for 0.6B population in the first half of 2020.
Sustainable Development Goal 12:
Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns
The efficiency of using gasoline in the first half of 2019 and 2020 is 18%. We have reached 1M reader via sifiratik.co and other social media accounts in which we create content for sustainable and eco- friendly consumption habits.
Sustainable Development Goal 17:
Strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development
We have involved in 6 different project which requires partnerships from different segments of the public and the private sector which we granted ₺3.2M.
When we have measured our effect apart from “company goals”, we clearly see that we are serving a big goal for our world. This point of view gave us awareness of the impact that we put on for our world, climate, and humanity. After this realization thanks to data, we have put a new motivation to create efficient solutions for waste management and city cleaning processes. Now, while taking action for our future development we have a new consideration to produce. We think that after this realization and the measurement contribution of Evreka increases for the new periods.
