Germans are Ready to Win the War Against Putin
The offshoots are starting to grow.
For a reasonable period of time, I kept writing that I had lost confidence in the US National Security team. A few months ago, my statement evolved into this: The US National Security team has lost its respect on the global stage. But I never explained how the statement evolved. The time has come.
It is because of something the Germans did in May 2024.
For more than a year and a half, the Russians tried and failed to take out the US supplied High Moblity Rocket Launchers (HIMARS). It wasn’t until March 2024 that they managed to hit them. Ukraine, for obvious reasons, never mentioned it, but several Ukrainian military bloggers reported that the Russians destroyed two HIMARS launchers.
Ukraine does not have a lot of these units. They had an estimated 39. By March 2024, there was no clarity if and when the American aid would be approved. Since there was no way to ensure the US would send the systems, the Ukrainians pressed the Germans for help.
