Jawaharlal Nehru Technology University (JNTU), Hyderabad, on behalf of Telangana State Council of Higher Education or TSCHE, conducts the TS EAMCET exam. Telangana Engineering, Agriculture & Medical Common Entrance Test or TS EAMCET is conducted to shortlist candidates seeking admissions in UG level Agriculture, Engineering and Medical/Pharmacy programs offered by institutions in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. The TS EAMCET exam is divided into 2 streams. Candidates can appear for the exam in the stream of their choice, as per the UG course they want to pursue:

  1. Engineering Stream — For students who want to pursue B.E./B.Tech./B.Tech.(Ag. Engg.)/B.Tech.(DairyTechnology)/B.Tech.(FT)/B.Tech.(BioTechnology)/B.Pharm.(MPC)/Pharm-D(MPC)
  2. Agriculture and Medical Stream — For students who want to pursue:
  • B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture/B.Sc. (Hons.) Horticulture/B.Sc.(Forestry)/B.V.Sc. & AH/B.F.Sc./ B.Tech. (FT)
  • B.Pharm./B.Tech.(Bio-Technology) (Bi.P.C.)
  • Pharm-D (Bi.P.C)

Recently, TSCHE released the exam dates for both TS EAMCET Engineering and Agriculture & Medical streams. Exams for both the streams will be held in September 2020. Candidates can find the dates in the article below.

The last date of TS EAMCET application form submission has been extended to 31 st August 2020. Candidates who are still interested to register themselves for the TS EAMCET 2020 exams can apply for the same with a late fee of Rs. 10,000. Initially, the exam for TS EAMCET was scheduled to be conducted between 6 th July to 9 th July 2020. However, Telangana High Court decided to postpone the exam dates to September due to COVID-19.

  • Revised TS EAMCET 2020 exam dates have been released. TS EAMCET Engineering examination will be conducted on September 9 th , 10 th , 11 th and 14 th , 2020 with two shifts on each day.
  • TS EAMCET Agriculture exams will be held on September 28 th and 29 th , 2020.
  • TS EAMCET application date has been extended until 31 st August 2020 and candidates can apply for the same with a late of Rs. 10, 000.
  • Candidates need to install the Aarogya Setu app on their mobile/cell phones to enter the exam venues. Security guards posted at the examination centre gates will check the dashboard of the Aarogya Setu app.
  • Candidates without smartphones have to bring a signed COVID-19 self-declaration form along with the admit card. This form should state that the candidate is not COVID-19 positive or a potential carrier of the virus.

TS EAMCET exam conducting authority and TSCHE have published the revised exam dates for 2020. They have also released the schedule for other exam-related events.

Step 1 — Application Fee Payment

Candidates can fill up the application form by visiting the official TS EAMCET 2020 website after paying the registration fees.

Before making the payment, candidates should read all the eligibility criteria carefully. Candidates must note that the application fee amount is non-refundable.

After the payment of the registration fee, candidates need to click on the ‘Proceed to Fill Application Form’ tab. They have to enter the following information correctly in the application form.

Qualifying Exam Details -

  • Name of the qualifying exam
  • Type of college/institution from where candidate completed Class 12
  • Medium of language in the qualifying exam
  • The medium of instruction chosen in the qualifying exam
  • Hall ticket number of Bridge course (if any)
  • Year of appearing or passed 10+2 examination
  • Hall ticket number of the qualifying exam

Personal Details of the Candidate -

  • Candidate’s name, as in the bank account
  • Bank account number
  • Date of birth
  • Father’s name
  • Mother’s name
  • Birthplace
  • Enrolment number or Aadhaar card number
  • Mobile number
  • Candidate’s category
  • Seeking admission under Special Category or not
  • Annual income of parents
  • Urdu translated required or not (for Urdu medium candidates only)
  • Address for correspondence (house number/street/locality/village/town/city)

Other Details -

  1. Choice of field (Agriculture or Engineering or both) — Candidates must note that they won’t be able to edit their choice of field, once it gets locked. Hence, candidates must be very careful while filling in their choice of field during the application process.
  2. Passport size photograph
  • File format should be in JPG
  • File size should not exceed 50 KB
  • The photograph should be coloured
  • The scanned file should be in JPG format
  • File size should be less than 30 KB

Candidates have to choose a Help Line Centre for document/certificate verification and options entry for TS EAMCET counselling.

Step 3 — Printout of Application Form

Before submitting the application form, candidates must check and verify the details they have entered. Once the details are checked, candidates must read the declaration at the end of the page and click on ‘I accept the Terms & Conditions’. Finally, they can complete the TS EAMCET application process by clicking on ‘submit’. At this point, a message box will pop up; candidates must click on ‘OK’ to submit the application form or on ‘Cancel’ to verify and edit the application form.

After the form is submitted, the candidates must download or take a print out of the submitted application by clicking on the ‘Download’ or ‘Print Application’ button. They should also note down their registration number displayed on the screen for future reference.

Guidelines for Form Submission

Candidates should read the ‘User Guide’ carefully, especially the ‘mandatory details’ to avoid mistakes while filling the application form.

Here are a few important guidelines that candidates should follow diligently:

  • Candidates can submit only one application form. The board will reject the application of the candidate who will submit multiple forms.
  • One-time correction opportunity is offered to candidates by the board to rectify the mistakes made in the application form.
  • Online applications can be filled by visiting the official website
  • TS EAMCET 2020 hall ticket will be released prior to the examination

TS EAMCET — Application Form Correction Window

The TS EAMCET application form correction window was open for a limited period, from 11th June 2020 to 16th June 2020. Currently, the application correction window for TS EAMCET 2020 is closed.

Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Hyderabad is yet to announce the final release dates of the TS EAMCET admit card and other related events. Candidates should note that the TS EAMCET admit card 2020 will not be sent by post. The admit cards will be made available only via online mode and candidates can download them from the official exam portal.

In order to download the admit cards, candidates need to enter their registration number, qualifying exam hall ticket and date of birth on the . They will not be allowed to enter the examination venue if they fail to bring the below list of documents:

  • Print out of filled-in TS EAMCET Application Form
  • TS EAMCET Admit Card
  • Passport Size Photograph, as uploaded in the application form
  • Attested Copy of Caste Certificate (for SC/ST candidate)
  • Candidate’s photo ID proof like PAN Card, Aadhar Card, Driving Licence, etc.
  • COVID-19 Self-attested Declaration Form, if the candidate does not have a smartphone (with Aarogya Setu App installed in it)

TS EAMCET — Guidelines for Exam Day

While appearing for the TS EAMCET exam, candidates must follow the JNTU-prescribed instructions and guidelines, as highlighted below:

TS EAMCET — Exam Centres

JNTU will conduct TS EAMCET 2020 exam in 55 cities across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. The exam centre allotted to each candidate will be printed on their respective admit cards. Please note that the candidates cannot make the changes once the preferred centres are submitted by them during the application process.

The TS EAMCET authority has released the list of cities where the exams will be conducted.

TS EAMCET — Recommended Books

Both Engineering and Agriculture & Medical candidates need to prepare well for Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as these 3 subjects are common for both the streams. Here are a few experts suggested exam preparation books from reputable publications/authors that will guide the candidates for their exam preparation:

Important Books for Biology (Medical Stream)

TSCHE will release the preliminary answer key on the official TS EAMCET website after both the Engineering and Agriculture & Medicine exams are conducted. Candidates can download the answer key in PDF format. Candidates can calculate their probable scores with the help of TS EAMCET answer key and response sheet, much before the results are declared.

Candidates who have taken the test can raise objections against the preliminary answer key if they find any discrepancy or error. Candidates will have to pay a certain objection fee to file their objection/s. If the TS EAMCET authority evaluates and finds the error to be genuine, they will not only publish the rectified final answer key but also refund the objection fee. However, candidates cannot raise objections against the answers published in the final answer key.

The schedule for TS EAMCET result declaration remains unannounced as the exam date for the same has been postponed. Once the exams are conducted, and the notification for the results is out, candidates can check their results online by using their registration number, AP EAMCET hall ticket number and date of birth on the official TS EAMCET website.

The conducting body would be releasing the rank cards along with the TS EAMCET results on its official website. Along with the results, the TS EAMCET final answer key will also be released. Candidates will be shortlisted for the counselling process based on their TS EAMCET ranks. Also, the candidates must take a printout of the TS EAMCET rank card for future use.

TS EAMCET Rank Card

After the TS EAMCET results are announced, the authority releases the scorecards via online mode. Candidates can download the rank card along with the merit list from the official website. Buddy4Study advises all the candidates to download their rank cards, as this document will not be sent to candidates by post to their registered address.

The ranks of candidates are solely based on their performance in their 10+2 or equivalent exam (25% weightage) and TS EAMCET exam (75% weightage).

TSCHE publishes the TS EAMCET cutoff after the results are announced. Candidates who qualify as per the cutoff are applicable to take part in the TS EAMCET counselling procedure. The exam authority releases the cutoff separately for both the Engineering and Agriculture & Medicine streams.

To qualify, candidates need to obtain a minimum of 25% marks. This, after calculation, stands to be a total of 40 marks out of 160 marks. However, the TS EAMCET admission cutoff depends upon the participating institutes.

TS EAMCET — Participating Institutes

Nearly 320 top Engineering and Agriculture & Medical institutes will participate (may increase or decrease as per current circumstance) in the TS EAMCET counselling program 2020. Below are listed a few prominent institutes from the list of 320 colleges and universities in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh:

TS EAMCET — Counselling

The TS EAMCET counselling process will be conducted by TSCHE in online mode. The schedule for the commencement of the TS EAMCET counselling process is yet to be notified. The counselling process will be held in 3 rounds for all the shortlisted candidates. Candidates have to follow the steps mentioned below to appear for the TS EAMCET counselling and seat allotment process:

  1. Payment of counselling fees and filling details
  2. Verification of documents
  3. Online choice filling
  4. Freezing of options
  5. Final allotment of seats
  6. Reporting at the allotted institute and payment of admission fees

Note: The TS EAMCET counselling fee is Rs.600 for reserved categories while unreserved category candidates have to pay Rs.1200.

Documents to Carry for TS EAMCET Counselling

Selected candidates are required to carry several important documents during TS EAMCET counselling. They must bring all original certificates and 2 sets of their xerox copies. Candidates have to carry the below-mentioned documents on the day of counselling:

  1. PH (certificate issued by District Medical Board) — Candidates with 40% and above disability are considered eligible
  2. NCC & Sports — Original Certificates issued by competent authorities
  3. Anglo-Indian — Certificate issued by Tahsildar of their place of residence
  4. CAP (certificate issued by Zilla Sainik Welfare Officer) — Identity card and Discharge book for verification (in case of Ex-Servicemen)
  5. Minorities — SSC certificate from the Head Master or TC containing minority status
