The Ordeal of Genius
A poem
Rest your soul in the enclaves of tranquillity and offer your embattled mind the treats of serenity. The savagery of undomesticated demons hover about to assault your rationality so your decisions are utterly flawed and pathetic in absolute shambles.
The ruinous outskirts fraught with scores of frenzies are where you belong, and the realms of disillusionment are keen to enthrone you king. The dark is rife with nasty atrocities, but you’re plagued for your novelty and those rare, exceptional abilities.
I see the giant strides of your feet hampered, with solitude absent in all the swathes of your superb mindscapes. Your thrill has gone overboard and the majesty of your thoughts is ludicrous, astronomical and outlandish.
You love the concert of peace yet are denied participation, for your logic is trampled by the restless hooves of hostile, bellicose bulls, and you’re exiled from the convention of harmony and from the arena of quietude.
Heaven penned your unlucky fate and your days of grief are splayed on the surface of a damning calendar. You mourn for your peculiar uniqueness and for the tumultuous fury boiling briskly on the seat of your intellect.
At the peak of your perplexity is confusion, so you’re transposed to the scenery of false realms and the projection of lying visualisations. You grapple to decipher the reality of authenticity from the cunning hoax of a mirage.
But you’re born from seasons of chaos to engage in lucid provinces and to settle for the texture of the unquestionable. Now your light is pleased to emerge and shine following the pacifying of an unquiet tempest.
Therefore your wit is refined to demystify the quandary in mathematical logic, exhibiting all the stellar profundities of a numerical whiz. You operate from the peak of ingenious echelons with the savviness of clever, professorial wizardry.
Your cognitive masteries are fantastical to untangle the complexities in an intricate mesh and they piece together discrete pieces for impressive, unconventional outcomes. So I love your uncommon brilliance now it’s channelled like the fervency and precision of a dynamic laser beam.
You’re deeply invested in the circumstances of erudition and the oracles of learning wrap you with the wreath of intelligence and distinction. The dark agitates, fomenting the wrath of unspeakable horrors, but you know you’re appointed to the ordeal of genius.
