2024 Exceptional Erotica Survey Highlights and Changes for 2025

As promised, we’re sharing the highlights from our 2024 writer and reader survey. Thank you to everyone who participated; we appreciate your comments and feedback very much!
Hopefully this will be of some use to writers. It’s been useful to us; we’ve taken that feedback and will implement some changes starting in 2025 to improve the EE experience for both readers and writers.
But first, the survey highlights:
- 86.4% of respondents are both writers and readers, 9.1% were readers, and 4.5% were writers.
- 54.5% of respondents were men, 31.8% were women, 9.1% preferred not to identify their gender, and there was one Transluminal Manifestation. We love that our readership extends to the supernatural!
- 95% of respondents like that we publish a maximum of two stories a day. We love that our “give each story 12 hours before the next one is published” approach is welcome.
- 72.7% of respondents read series all the way though, which is great news, as we have writers — notably Anton J Pierce — who are masters of the serial story, and we love to publish them.
