Podcast | Introducing Change in Government
When I started working at the BCDevExchange in December 2018 I was asked to create a podcast. I wanted to create a podcast, but other projects kept taking precedent.
About a month into COVID I became obsessed with listening to podcasts. Finishing two or more each day. I had been listening to them for years, but it was different.
Podcasts became my time away from the screen: walking for hours, lost in talks and the beauty of my neighborhood. I was raised by parents that loved design and one of my favourite things is walking and looking at different architecture. I explored many areas of my community for the first time. It quickly became my go to relax, exercise and explore. No work, no news. Just learning, walking and breathing.
In May, Todd Wilson, Director of the BC Developers’ Exchange shared that he would be starting a new position in the private sector before the end of the month. Todd was part of the group that started the BCDevExchange. It was time to start an Exchange Lab
We hope you enjoy the first Exchange Podcast from June 2020, with Todd Wilson. In the podcast he shared what it was like at the beginning of creating the BCDevExchange and the difficulties of introducing change in the government. He shared what he is most proud of and offered advice to continue the work of the BCDevExchange. There is a lot of wisdom in the first segment.
Listen to the podcast starting the Change, a 20-minute interview for anyone starting something new.
