The team behind the SPICE token recognized that many discussions in the crypot-industry had a tendency to heat up and become very passionate, but as a result the fun would be lost. To change this, they came up with an idea to that allows to keep the fun going even during the most passionate discourse. This is how the SPICE token was born.

The SPICE token is an appreciation token that is used by people to tip each other for any content they see on social media that they found interesting, made them laugh or was in any other way worthy of recognition.

Within just a short time after the launch, people were already actively using SPICE to tip in crypto-telegram groups and well beyond.

SPICE is an SLP-token, built on top of the Bitcoin Cash blockchain allowing lightning fast transactions between users. The total supply of SPICE is capped at 1 billion. The minimal unit of SPICE is 0.00000001 and named scoville. SPICE is integrated in a whole ecosystem and by utilizing the spicebot aggregates the most tipped content across different platforms and presents it in the SpiceFeed.

Currently, the Spicebot is working on SpiceFeed, telegram, dlive/twitch and twitter with more supported platforms coming soon. To start using SPICE on telegram, one simply has to add the @spicetippingbot, which gives you an overview of balances, allows you to deposit and send SPICE. For twitter, you just have to reply to a tweet with XX(number of tokens you want to tip) @SpiceTokens.

New users who don’t own any SPICE can visit the SPICE faucet, where a certain amount of SPICE is given away on a daily basis. The faucet is fast and doesn’t require any sign-up. After typing in your SLP address and confirming, you might get lucky and receive up to 1000 SPICE.

Lastly, the SpiceFeed is where all tipped content is aggregated across platforms. Users can tip in real-time with their SPICE and leaderboards are constantly updated to show the most popular posts. Currently, SpiceFeed is still in beta, but the team is working hard to add more exciting features to the feed before launching a final version.

The SPICE team is constantly working on developing new features for users. The latest they are working on is a wagering bot where people can test their luck against each and the bot to win SPICE.

Ultimately, they are envisioning a social ecosystem that never stops innovating.

“It’s a social network that rewards good content, it’s games, it’s bots, it’s tipping, it’s wagering.” SPICE team
