Once, I was conversing with one of my senior colleagues at the Islamic institutions where I studied.

‘Do you think Bin Laden is a terrorist?’ he asked.

I said that I don’t know.

‘He is not. He is a good Muslim’.

‘Oh, I see…’

This conversation with my senior colleague happened in 2011 when I was 17. We were both residing in a Boarding school run by Jamaat-e-Islami (an organization founded by the Islamist- Sheikh Abul Ala Maududi that aims to make India an Islamic country).

When Laden was killed by the US, I, along with the Islamic society, secretly mourned him and considered him to be a shaheed (martyr) who died for Islam. According to Islam, if anyone dies as a shaheed, his abode is heaven, and his death is the best (Quran 3: 157, 158). Isn’t this gaslighting of Muslims to go for Jihad (holy war)?

The uproar against the death of Hamas and Hezbollah leaders by Muslims reminds me of those days. The Islamic hypocrisy gets wide open in their collective anger against Israel and adoration for the Taliban.

Two incidents

Of the top 25 global terrorist organizations, 23 of them are Islamic. To understand this phenomenon, let me delve into the psyche of a Muslim. When I was 11 years old, I was in a school run by A. P. Kanthapuram (Islamic extremist) group of Muslims in Kerala, India. Once, my Hindu Math teacher came to our class, seemingly agitated.

‘What is the point of following a man who lived in the 6th century A.D.?’ she was talking to herself rather than the students, ‘We are living in the 21st century. We should be civil and humane to each other like modern humans.’

‘No! Muhammed is a great human being. Don’t talk like that!’ The reaction from the benches where the boys sat was spontaneous; I was one of them.

‘I was just saying my opinion,’ said the Math teacher.

‘Muhammed is the most incredible human being that ever lived. Don’t say anything against him,’ all of us said in Unison.

The teacher fell back in her chair, her face expressing hopelessness and anger. The school had its own Mosque, to which the students were forced to go for prayers every day. The students who didn’t were beaten up by the Ustads ( Islamic and Arabic teachers), who wore white shirts, dhoti, and a turban to emulate Prophet Muhammed’s sunnah (practice). The district where I was born has a Muslim majority, so most of the students were Muslims, and the administration filled the school staff with Muslims. There were some Hindu teachers who were forced to live by the rules of the Islamic administration, and those who rebelled were expelled. My Math teacher, fearing expulsion, thought of sharing her ordeal with students, and the students ended up being extremists themselves.

The Math teacher didn’t teach anything that day. She went to her staff room after the class.

‘As if she could play her games with us,’ my colleagues and I said, feeling smug.

When I was 12, I was changed to another educational institution run by a Muslim organization that wanted to give the impression that they were liberals. So, although they had a Mosque on the school premises, most of the school staff, including the principal, were Hindus or Christians. Since the district was Hindu-dominated, it would affect their educational business if they showed off their true colors.

Once, our art teacher, a Hindu, when discussing nature and painting, said that God is an abstract concept created by humans.

‘No, it’s not!’ I said, punching my fist to the desk where I was sitting.

The whole class, including my art teacher, looked at me, stunned by my audacity.

‘Hey, what happened?’ asked the art teacher.

‘No, God is not imaginary; he is real,’ I shouted.

‘I was just saying my opinion; what is your issue with that?’ he asked.

‘Allah is my God! Don’t speak against my God!’.

Two separate incidents from my childhood prove that all Muslims are subjects of intense indoctrination by Islam. The indoctrination of Muslims by Islam starts when they are a child.

The indoctrination and gaslighting

Soon after a baby is born, the Islamic call for prayer (Adhan) is recited to their ears. The Adhan in English is as follows:

‘Allah is the greatest, Allah is the greatest, Allah is the greatest, Allah is the greatest’

‘I bear witness to there is no God but Allah, I bear witness to there is no God but Allah’

‘I bear witness to Muhammed is the last messenger, I bear witness to Muhammed is the last messenger’

‘Welcome to Islamic prayer, welcome to Islamic prayer’

‘Welcome to victory, welcome to victory’

‘Allah is the greatest, Allah is the greatest’

‘There is no God except Allah’

The Adhan is an indoctrination tool that Islam uses to gaslight its followers. No one has seen Allah, and yet Muslims are forced to say that they bear witness to Allah as the only God. There is no proof that Muhammed is his messenger other than what Muhammed claims, yet Muslims are forced to say that they bear witness to that idea. It also implies that a welcome call to Islamic prayer is a victory for them. In every area where Muslims live, they build a Mosque and loudly proclaim their exclusionary worldview through loudspeakers five times a day. By calling Adhan five times a day, Muhammed was of the notion that he could gaslight all his followers and also other people living nearby, forcing his ideology upon their ears.

After Adhan, the next thing a baby born into Islam listens to is the three Surahs (chapters) in the Quran- Ikhlas (devotion), Falaq (daybreak), and Naas (human). These chapters are recited to their right ear three times. Muslims are told to recite these three chapters every day and night so that they won’t go astray.

I used to recite these chapters daily when I felt fear and went to sleep. But, rather than being soothing prayers, these chapters are a proclamation of Muhammed’s delusional worldview.

Surah Al Ikhlas has five verses and lays down the monotheistic outlook of Islam. Its translation in English is given below,

‘Say, Allah is one. Allah is omnipotent. He is not anyone’s father. And not anyone’s son. There is no one equal to him’.

Surah Al Ikhlas is Muhammed’s vitriolic commentary against Judaism, Christianity, and polytheism.

Surah Al Falaq has five verses and gives a view of Muhammed’s outlook on the world. Its translation in English is as follows,

‘Say, I seek refuge in the creator of the daybreak. From the evil of what he created. From the evil of darkness, when it spreads. From the evil of the blowers into knots. From the evil of an envious one who envies.’

This chapter firmly lays down that God created both bad and good. He wants us to seek refuge from him for the evil that he created. Muhammed believed in witchcraft and black magic. He is afraid that people who envy him will do something to him. Hence, he wants all Muslims to seek refuge from Kafirs and their black magic from the same God that created them. This chapter debunks the Muslim claims of prayers and fasting being scientific because Muhammed is superstitious.

Surah Al Naas’s translation is given below:

‘Say, I seek refuge in the creator of mankind. The sovereign/master of mankind. The God of mankind. From the evil of the retreating whisperer. Who whispers into the breast of mankind. From among the Jinn and mankind.’

Through this chapter, Muhammed asserts that his God, Allah, is the creator, master, and the God of all humankind, leaving no room for doubts. And Allah wants us (humankind) to pray to him to save us from the devils that he created in Jinn (an imaginary group of creatures created from fire) and humankind. If Allah is the omniscient creator, as Ikhlas, Falaq, and Naas claim, then why did he make the evil written in Falaq and Naas commanding us to pray to him to seek refuge from them?

Clearly, the Islamic God is a sadistic megalomaniac.

Terrorism

I have often asked the following question to my Hindu and Christian friends:

‘What are the common lullabies that your mother used to sing to make you sleep when you were a baby?’

All the answers were either film or fairy tale songs. In Islam, babies are not sung to sleep by those; Muslims use Islamic religious slogans. The most used are ‘La ilaha illa Allah’ (there is no God but Allah) and ‘Muhammed Rasoolullah’ (Muhammed is Allah’s last messenger).

If it has a penis, it will be circumcised. Although I was circumcised when I was a toddler, the pain is so immense that I still remember it. The funny thing is that all babies with this organ are forced to undergo this procedure without any need. Usually, surgeries are done for a medical reason, but for circumcision, the only reason is the religious one. Muslims will justify the act with shallow claims of pseudoscience, sanitation, and cleanliness. The claims are baseless and bogus. Male circumcision is a religious cult ritual forced upon innocent children who have no idea what is going on. Sweden has a law to punish people who circumcise without a medical practitioner. In Islam, most of the circumcisions are done by a local man without any qualification to do the practice. Even in this 21st century, this is the norm.

For those who have a vagina, a lifelong trauma of suppression, oppression, and subjugation awaits. As for others, due to the regressive nature of Islam, they are abhorred, shunned, and annihilated.

According to Hadith, a child who doesn’t follow Islamic teachings has to be beaten (Tirmidi no. 407; Abu Dawood no. 493). According to the Quran, the prophet Moses went on a Journey on which Allah assigned an advisor to show him the true path. The advisor did three acts: the second of them was to kill a child. Moses questioned the advisor about it, and the advisor rejected his companionship, reprimanding him for the questions. The advisor told Moses that he feared that the child would overwhelm his god-fearing parents with disbelief and oppression. So, the advisor killed the child for Allah to give the parents another child better in purity and closer to mercy (18: 66–82). So, the moral of the story is never to question Allah, his messenger, and Islamic scholars, as no matter how depraved their acts are, they are for the ‘greater good’ of spreading Islam, even if it means killing an innocent child.

If an innocent child has to be killed for questioning Islam, then is there any wonder in Muslims beheading 12 people from Charlie Hebdo magazine for drawing a cartoon of Muhammed?

Muslims who follow Islam will justify all acts of Islamic terrorism because that is the way the Quran and Hadith nurture them. There is no wonder that of the top 25 global terrorist organizations, 23 are Islamic ones. Still, Muslims will call this Western propaganda of the Kafirs even though the majority of the Arab Muslim refugees from the wars in the Middle East were given asylum in the European countries and not in the nearby affluent Islamic kingdoms.

Examples to emulate

Manusmriti, one of the Hindu holy scriptures, was publicly burned by the first law minister of India- Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and no Hindu came to behead him. No Fatwa (legal ruling) was made to kill him. He burned it because Manusmriti is toxic, explicitly championing the oppression of lower caste (8:270 to 272, 279–283) and women (8:270 to 272, 279–283). Many of my Hindu friends disregard Manusmriti, saying that it is too oppressive and fanatic. Manu dhahan diwas (Manu burning day) is still remembered and discussed in India even when the Hindu extremist- RSS and their political party are ruling over it.

The Old Testament of the Bible denigrates LGBTQIA+ and women (19:1-38). However, Christians follow the New Testament as Christ’s commandments to humankind. They don’t consider the Old Testament something that should be followed word-by-word. The famous American cartoon sitcom — The Family Guy heavily ridicules Christianity, and the book Da Vinci Code speaks of an illicit affair of Jesus with Mary Magdalena. No Fatwas (legal rulings) were made to kill Seth Mcfarlane and Dan Brown. Were there any assassination attempts against them? The answer is no.

Now, coming to Islam, Quran explicitly enforces an exclusionary binary worldview of Muslims vs. Kafirs (disbelievers that includes everyone except Muslims). It even says that the fodder for Hell’s fire is Kafirs (2: 22–24). Most of the chapters in the Quran enforce zealotry. Quran treats women as second-grade citizens or slaves (2: 223, 4: 34) and considers LGBTQIA+ (7:80–84, 11:70–82) as an abomination. There is even a chapter in the Quran called Al Ahzab, which explicitly targets Muhammed’s wives and commands them to behave when it is okay for Muhammed to marry eleven women (33: 28–34). Muhammed married one of them when she was only six years old and consummated the marriage when she was 9. Some others were married after his Islamic army killed their husbands and children.

Recently, Salman Rushdie, the celebrated Author of the book Midnight’s Children, escaped an assassination attempt. In 1989, Iran issued a Fatwa, asking all Muslims to kill him—all this uproar because Rushdie authored a comical take on Muhammed through his book The Satanic Verses.

Salwan Momika, an Iraqi immigrant in Sweden, burned the Quran, and the Swedish police gave him protection under the right to freedom of expression. Then, Iraq issued a similar Fatwa against him. Turkey and other Islamic countries reprimanded Sweden. Turkey even managed to postpone Sweden's entry into the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). The following days saw the burning of the Torah and the Bible by Muslims. Did the Jews and Christians create a fracas like Muslims? Read these events, along with the Charlie Hebdo killings and the list of Islamic terror organizations.

I used to be a believer but left Islam due to its sleaze and depravity. The Quran and Hadith (the compilation of Muhammed’s words, actions, and habits) are books that should be burned because they are filled with toxicity that makes Muslims behave like barbarians. Islam is making Muslims terrorists.

To become a civilized society, Muslims could take lessons from Hindus and Christians. Although Hinduism and Christianity are imperfect, their flexibility in religion helped create a robust liberal space amongst their followers. They tolerate the criticism of their faith and even accept that their holy scriptures are imperfect. In contrast, Muslims take pride in the depravity of their sacred scriptures created by a 6th-century uneducated Arab-supremacist warlord.

Islamic indoctrination makes Muslims live in a bubble where their Arab supremacist religion is the impotent truth that perpetuates time and space. Any criticism of it will be punished, and ingratiation will be rewarded. As global Muslims hold the Quran and Hadith sacrosanct, the sanctimonious religious leaders ingratiate the Arab monarchies of the Middle East with their Islamic preaching. The Middle East Arab Muslim Monarchies and other Islamic governments have their minions in the form of Islamic scholars. The words of religious fanaticism from the mouths of Non-Arab Islamic scholars such as Zakir Naik sway the Non-Arab Muslims more than the Arabs, transforming them into potential Jihadists (holy warmongers). Jihad is Islamic terrorism, and jihadists are Islamic terrorists.

Conclusion

Muhammed hated Muslims who left Islam. He also hated non-practicing liberal Muslims. Hence, Allah commands Muhammed to strive against disbelievers (ex-Muslims or apostates) and hypocrites (Non-practicing liberal Muslims) and be stern with them. He also says their abode is hell- a miserable destination (9:65, 73). Such angry rants are typical of a demagogue, and Muslims are too narrow-minded to understand.

Arab Muslims are largely indifferent to their Non-Arab counterparts. As Non-Arab Muslims take pride in their ‘Islamness,’ the Arab Muslims are basking under the privilege of their Arab origins in the Arab supremacist religion. While Arab Muslims root for the destruction of everything that criticizes Islam (or Arab), they have the indoctrinated Non-Arab Muslims to do their bidding. For Islam, every ex-Muslim like me is a disease-causing virus that needs to be eliminated — the disease called secular progressive humanism.
