Yes, you read it right

From faith in a set of beliefs to faithlessness and trying to fill that space with something stronger, more lasting and enduring is one part of the journey.

A journey , in which there is huge indulgence to fill that vast emptiness , and experimenting with various ointments to heal those deep painful wounds.

From non-belief to spirituality, many valleys and mountains are crossed.

But, all along the way what are we searching for?

If we have left God, why don’t we stay still and calm , why do we continue the search, peek into different windows hoping for something exciting to emerge?

Relentlessly trying to knock on many doors , sometimes opened by ghosts , sometimes damsels taking to ghosts, what is that desperation which keeps the search going?

Do we have some memory of God , the likeness of which we are restlessly searching for, or a certain familiar comfort which is divine beyond human pollution?.

Why does sometimes nature seem to offer that?

The vastness and stillness of the endless oceans , the breeze from the green trees felt on one’s face , the sweet melody of birds in the silence of dusk, the lush greenery of trees.

The calm rays of the sun creating golden twilights in a gracefully flowing river, the snow clad mountains and the cotton like scattered clouds, hiding and then revealing the sunlight as if it were a precious diamond.

Even the imagery of these scenes brings calmness and serenity to the heart , which religion despite of all its logic couldn’t provide.

With so much of our human efforts being invested in doing the opposite i.e. moving from nature to concrete , the pull is still towards the nature and the initial state of being .

As we can’t walk backwards ,and ahead is an obvious black hole which is ready to suck all our energies, what is the way out for those who want to tread this path with eyes open wide?
