Encouragement for Rejection
The quality of what you have to offer is not lowered by people’s rejections of it.
Good morning!
Have you ever been rejected when offering something for free?
And no, I’m not talking about giving candy to kids from a white van. No, I mean, have you ever had something genuinely and objectively good to give someone, yet got rejected anyway?
This week, I’m having a work function at my new job where we all get to go to Knott’s, and I was able to get an extra ticket to bring a friend, but as I called friends and tried to invite them along with me — and, just to remind you, this is a free ticket, all expenses paid, at no cost to them except their time — I got a few rejections before I found someone to say “Yes!”
I want to encourage you this morning by reminding you that even though you really may have something genuinely amazing to give people, they might still say no for any number of other reasons, they just can’t/won’t accept it. However — and this is the important lesson here — no amount of rejections can change what you have to offer into something that isn’t good.
If you are convinced to the core that your product/service is inherently good, then I want to encourage you: keep selling, keep pursuing, keep going. You have something good, and eventually, someone else will see that too.
God bless you, have a great day!
