Hold on to Hope

When we begin to let go of hope, we make ourselves most vulnerable to all sorts of evils.

Good morning!

Have you ever noticed how different you become when you let go of hope?

I was on an hour-long phone call with a great friend last night, and we talked about the subject of hope and how it so strongly affects us.

In our discussion, we noticed that when we remain hopeful, we stay resilient and are able to combat internal forces and keep our actions in check, sometimes even being capable of more than we would give ourselves credit for.

However, on the flip side, we noticed that when we begin to give up hope, we are tempted to go back to the belief that all is meaningless, and as a result, we become vulnerable to all sorts of evils.

Hope for the future gives us a certain strength to do what is right, what is difficult, or what demands great sacrifice because we believe it will be worth it in the end; it is when our hope falters and we let go that we allow ourselves to go down paths of self-destruction.

This morning, I want to come to you with the words of the apostle Paul and encourage you: “hold tightly to the hope we say is ours, for He who promised is faithful.”

Until next time, God bless you, have a great day! (P.S. Please let me know how I could best partner with you in prayer, I would love to pray for you.)
