Eximchain welcomes Lead Solidity Developer Andrew Koh
Andrew has been working on many projects within the blockchain space. During his tenure at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), he has been actively involved with MIT’s Bitcoin Club, and was also active as the Bitcoin Club Expo Director. During this time, he organized speakers to give talks regarding technical aspects of either Bitcoin’s implementation or further improvements in the future.
He has also been involved in the Digital Currency Initiative, a small subgroup within the MIT Media Lab. During this time, he worked on a prototypical project that was focused on managing “smart property,” which served to demonstrate the workflow for a way in which people could potentially manage electronic properties on the internet with respect to owning and renting the hardware. Another project that he worked on named CoreID was focused on digital attestations that has potential usage in signing legal documents with something much more secure than just a handwritten signature by using a digital one.
With regard to Eximchain, he is excited to join because his particular skill sets give him unique insights to some of the pitfalls when it comes to dealing with the intricacies specific to attaching digital identities to physical ones. He has also tailored his learning experience at MIT to be more relevant within the blockchain space, and has found distributed systems interesting and increasingly relevant in today’s technologies. He plans on working on the very consensus engine that Eximchain will be built on, and will actively be involved in further improving the governance mechanisms which it will rely on. Tangential to that, he also has experience in building out Dapps, or distributed applications, and is excited to roll a few out of his own on the Eximchain layer!
