Exnetwork announces its investment in Chain Crisis, a cyberpunk MMORPG built on Solana. Chain Crisis is developed by Warpgate Ventures, a blockchain venture studio that builds and invests in projects geared towards the decentralized web.
This blockchain game allows players band together to complete missions and defeat enemies. As players defeat unique bosses, they get to earn in-game currencies and receive improved equipment. The local government was all but obliterated, and the once powerful city fell into a perpetual struggle for turf, as various corporations and slumlords vied for power over their own small domains.
Fast forward to 2088, and Warpgate City remains a blend of high tech and perpetual crime. Stratified by social class, corporate espionage is rife in the higher levels of the city. Yet as mega corporations vie for dominance above, much of the populace struggles to simply eke out a living in the warrens of the under-city. Bioengineering has spread widely as cybernetic body replacements and neural implants offer a path to not only survive — but to thrive.
To start your journey in Warpgate City, each player will need to mint their character. Players will find the customizable aspect of the game alluring, as ach character can have different attributes, life origins, roles, and equipment in-game. Play with friends to complete missions, earn CREDS and defeat bosses together.

CREDS is an acronym for Crisis Euro Dollar System, the in-game currency for Chain Crisis. Within the game’s universe, the CREDS system was established after the collapse of the global superpowers in the 2050s due to the hyper-accelerated progression of AI and the decentralized web. This led to the collapse of the fiat monetary system as more citizens migrated toward other stronger currencies issued by decentralized autonomous organizations.
