Celebrating the Non-Profit’s Inclusive Programming, 20-Year History.

“Share a Path. Find your Power.” Today, creative agency Struck revealed a new logo, tagline, and branding for Colorado-based non-profit, Women’s Wilderness. Struck believes deeply in empowering underserved communities — and in the power of spending time outdoors. The partnership with Women’s Wilderness is the perfect alignment of creativity for a cause.

“Through our brand workshop, immersion, and multiple conversations getting to know the team and participants, we learned that Women’s Wilderness does so much more than simply help underserved communities get outside,” said strategist Emily Kropp.

“Women’s Wilderness creates meaningful space for girls, women, and the LGBTQ community to discover themselves, connect with each other, discover the limitless promise of the earth and the outdoors.”

The new positioning for the organization, created by an all-female Struck team, more accurately represents the diversity of programs Women’s Wilderness offers. The new logo and color palette is more gender neutral, and inclusive.

“The Women’s Wilderness rebrand gave us an opportunity to uncover the many ways in which women and minorities are marginalized. Access to wilderness is one such way.” said President of Struck, Pauline Ploquin.

“ When you consider the deep benefits of wilderness immersion in building confidence, resilience and just plain happiness, and realize many women and minorities never experience it — you just have to do something. Women’s Wilderness was the first organization in the country to do something and we wanted the world to know about it. This was a no-brainer for us to jump in and get involved. Working with Emily and her powerful team was a dream.”

Over the past four years, Women’s Wilderness has expanded to offer courses for populations beyond women and girls. Current course offerings include the Queer Wilderness Project, an LGBTQ2+ program, Trailblazers, a Black, Indigenous, and Women of Color outdoor leadership program, and women’s corporate leadership programs — as well as the girls’ and women’s climbing and backpacking courses.

“It was an honor to work on the new brand identity for Women’s Wilderness with such a talented team of inspiring women,” said Struck designer, Katie Tingey. “I hope the new brand we developed will serve the organization well and help them continue to do the amazing work they do.”
