I am going to use Facebook and Twitter to further my social media presence. I am good at using both of them, and they are both decently popular. While I will display the videos on my pages, they will be embedded on the pages while will have them uploaded on youtube.com. This will allow easy transfer of my content if I ever need to switch profiles, or switch to another platform. I will make a new Facebook page or use my current one, but I will definitely start a new Twitter account.

Sadly, most people will not just happen upon my Facebook or Twitter page. I am going to have to actively seek out followers and viewers. It is essentially going to be like fishing. I search on either site for people who are interested in film, or video, or have their own film companies and follow them on Twitter, and invite them to my page on Facebook. I can also promote myself through my social media accounts that already exist, but I am really looking to get the attention of new people that I do not already know in order to expand myself professionally.

My Facebook page will consist of my videos as well as a little more about my productions and myself than twitter will allow. Updating my statuses will allow people that are “friends” with me to see my content instantly without having to visit the page to see if new content has been added.

The same goes for Twitter. My followers will see links to my new content as I Tweet them, as well as a short description of what the content is about. It will be relatively simple for me to promote my content through both of these mediums.

Video Media Productions uses Facebook to promote their work.
AJ Plus uses Twitter. I think I like the Twitter platform more for promoting content and the Facebook page would be more of a follow-up if someone is interested.
