Am I American by Jason Fujikuni

Am I American is a collection of photographs representing the incarceration of people of Japanese ancestry in the United States during World War II. In order to explore the depth in representation of these photographs, Jason cropped and analyzed what had to be hidden and revealed in order to understand the multi-dimensional narrative which is employed. This project resulted in an explanatory website along with a series of cards which were re inserted in books as a way to circulate his project.
