Today we are chatting to Resident Expert and show host at Expert Channel TV, Jimena Ballén, The Body-Love Coach.
Jimena has spent the last 18 years raising awareness about the importance of including the physical body as part of the healing process among hundreds of women and teenagers. She believes that Body Acceptance and Self Love are vital to be able to live with peace of mind and integral health. That’s why Jimena created her own methodology in which she integrates Yoga, Meditation, Free Dance, Ontological Coaching and Corporal Coaching disciplines. She believes in the integration of the Self.
Hi Jimena, thanks for spending this time with us so we can get to know you better.
Can you tell us who you are and what your line of work is?
I am Jimena Ballén, my brand is Jimena The Body-Love Coach. I work with people that want to make peace with their bodies, creating a self relationship based on respect and compassion.
That is such an important message, especially nowadays where so many people are struggling with their self-image and trying to mimic impossible filtered beauty standards. What is your Mission?
I see a world where people can live in peace with their own bodies, dancing and connecting freely.
That is certainly a meaningful Mission.So back to what we just mentioned, what would you tell people who might be struggling with their body image or with the way they feel about their body?
If you don’t feel comfortable in your body, it’s essential that you are present where you are right now. There is no need to rush to a body relationship that you don’t have today. Instead you can embrace the emotions that you have right now, even though they might be uncomfortable. Ask yourself , how can I practice body respect today with myself? It’s a daily practice not a hustle journey.
We are delighted that your new show “Body Love Practice with Jimena” is airing on Expert Channel every Thursday. Why did you decide to start your own show and podcast?
Because I wanted to impact more people, and to take my message worldwide. I knew being part of Expert Channel TV will let me spread my message and connect with the people that need to listen to it.
Now, we are curious, what is something you have had to overcome to start doing a weekly show?
I would say that being consistent in my content, creating and recording my content on a fixed schedule, that helps me to not to procrastinate.
Absolutely, there´s nothing like having an avid audience waiting to watch or listen to your next episode to stop procrastinating and get recording! We are glad to hear that being a member of Expert Channel TV has helped you stay consistent.
Well, at this point, we are sure people are going to want to learn more about your show and how it can help them, can you tell us a bit more?
My show is “The Body Love Practice with Jimena” it’s about making peace with our bodies awakening from Diet culture and society. It is for anyone who might be feeling uncomfortable in their own bodies and who want to make a change.
Let us add, it is available every Thursday on Expert Channel TV and Expert Channel Podcasts, both in English and in Spanish. And it is a loving journey of self-discovery and self-love. Jimena shares beautiful practices and meditations on the show to help you connect and start loving your body as it is.
