As we approach the end of 2018, it seems the appropriate time to reflect on the year that has passed. For the Expload team, this was a dynamic and incredibly intense experience — a huge journey from creation of the concept to launching closed beta testing for the platform. Below, we have the brightest events and achievements wrapped up for you:

  • We delivered the 1st version of the Expload platform

As part of the activities during construction of the Expload platform, we created our own Pravda blockchain. This is based on the Tendermint library and on our in-house developed virtual machine, which is capable of executing smart contracts in C#. Also, we saw implementation of SDK for classic games integration with blockchain (you can find the documentation here).

On top of this, we created a client application suitable for Windows/MacOs, that represents a store with games integrated into the platform.

  • We hosted three events

This summer, jointly with MRGV we held our first GameNode hackathon and conference in Moscow, which were dedicated to the development of games bolstered by advanced technologies. In September, we continued the series of events as organizers of a game monetization meetup, while in the late fall the city of Minsk hosted our second GameNode hackathon focused on the creation of open-economy games with Expload SDK.

  • We collected early feedback

During the course of the hackathons, we harvested feedback from developers which enabled us to identify and fix bugs and make the platform easy-to-use and more intuitive for developers. You can find more details about new developments on our platform in the regular changelogs posted on our blog.

  • We bonded with the gamedev community

Aside from hosting our own events, this year we regularly attended game conferences and meetups, where we promoted the fundamentals of the Expload platform. The idea underpinning our project appealed to representatives of the gamedev community. Some of them joined our team :)

  • We forged partner relationship with game studios

We are happy to see that our active interaction with game studios is transforming into a fully-fledged and successful partnership — the Expload platform has already welcomed games by Game Garden and Cyberlaps, and next year loads of new releases are expected.

  • Closed beta testing started

As a result of the above achievements, we have been able to launch the platform’s closed beta testing by the year-end.

You can see the result with your own eyes by joining our platform among the early birds. For this, just submit your application on Expload’s website :) Please, note that the beta testing website is available in Russian only.
