Then we went to Sultan Idris Shah II mosque, the state mosque of Perak, Malaysia. It is situated in Ipoh, Perak’s capital city, near the Birch Memorial. Firstly, we had a meeting in the meeting room of the mosque. According to the managers of the mosque, the construction of the mosque began on May 1966 and was completed in August 1968. The mosque was officially opened in September 1978 by Sultan Idris Shah II of Perak in conjunction with his 54th birthday celebration.

Then, they bought all of us to visit the mosque. We observe the practice of wudhu, or the Islamic procedure for cleaning parts of the body, a type of ritual purification or ablution. A manager of prayer here showed us how to do this process. He washed his hand, mouth, nostrils, arms, head and feet with water provided. We also visited the big and beautiful prayer room of this mosque.

The upper prayer room of the mosque is explained

At 1.30 p.m., we boarded the bus and went to our next destination — Perak State Mosque. When we reached there, we entered one room and we were informed that we were late for 4 hours and the guide was waiting for us for a long time. Unfortunately, since now was the time for the Muslims to pray, the activities that were prepared by him we were unable to do. So, he just gave us gifts and showed us around the prayer hall. To my understanding, the 99 names of the god of Allah were at the tops of the mosque buildings. After that, we walked to the Ipoh field to enjoy our meals.

Before we left the mosque and walk to the field, we took a group picture with the two Ustaz. The weather was extremely hot and we were so hungry now.
