Ever felt like you’re just not getting through to someone?

Empathy is the bridge that transforms our connections.

Empathy–the capacity to know how another feels–is vital to fostering relationships within our working and personal lives. And if we lack it, we have the potential to change.

Yet, our empathy is not fixed; it can be developed.

Why not give the following a try!!

Cultivate curiosity

  • Spend time with people you know less well, asking about their lives.
  • Follow diverse individuals on social media to hear varied perspectives.
  • Be present in conversations, noting what evokes passion, happiness, or sadness in others.
  • Visit new places to immerse yourself in different cultures and ways of life.

Step out of your comfort zone

  • Engage in new activities or travel to experience being out of your comfort zone.
  • Embrace feelings of helplessness as a path to humility and empathy.

Receive feedback

  • Request feedback on your active listening and relationship skills from friends, family, and colleagues.
