1. Soviet POWs In Rovaniemi, Finland, 1940

During World War II, Finnish forces captured Soviet prisoners of war in two major conflicts: the Winter War and the Continuation War.

In the Winter War, the Finns took around 5,700 POWs, and due to the brief duration of the conflict, these prisoners fared relatively better.
