Week 11 Reflection

This week, we focused on refining our rough prototypes to produce mid-fi prototypes. We aim to test our interactive book with kids throughout the week and get feedback about our storyline, activities, characters, and opportunities for interaction with the book.

Wireframing progress

Here is the progression of our wireframes so far:

Next, will be filling in the Midfis

For the first two books, we tried to create a consistent storyline, and find ways to introduce features that will be used throughout the book. For example, the sticker map and the library. We would like to see if the points in our narrative where these elements are introduced make sense, or if they need to be moved. We would also like to come together to discuss before handing over our book for review what an appropriate level of detail for testing is. For example, whether or not we need to show a full book (limit the number of frames), or if we could focus on just prototyping the activities.

Feedback

  • Prepare mid fidelity wireframes for testing with children

Next Steps

  • Come up with a name for the characters and for the book
  • Unify look of mid fi prototypes (level of detail, use of color etc.)
  • Begin creating illustration library
