Sobriety and Panic Attacks

Welcome to the weekly Exploring Sobriety newsletter! I hope your week is off to a great start.

Last week was extremely busy for me, so I wrote a lot less than usual. I’ve been cutting down on my writing schedule a bit over these past couple of weeks, and I’m not sure yet how the next few weeks will look. If you’re looking for more to read, check out the Exploring Sobriety archive of all past posts. (And make sure to explore all of the other great people writing about the topic here on Medium.)

While I’m writing less, I’m still trying hard to make each post count. Last week, I wrote about one of the few sobriety-related topics that I normally avoid: panic attacks. I experienced panic attacks when I quit drinking and even more of them when I quit smoking. It was an incredibly hard experience for me, that often made me question whether quitting was even worth it. I’ll hope you’ll check out the entire post here:

Thank you for reading and have a great rest of your week!
