Prohibition and the War

I find this article very interesting as it talks about basically morale and the fighting spirit of people when it comes to WW1. It says that people who come from countries without prohibition are doing better in the war whereas those who are from prohibition countries are struggling. It takes the perspective that prohibition is negative and supports the fact that certain countries banned the manufacture of alcohol as shown in this article https://themobmuseum.org/blog/world-war-played-key-role-passage-prohibition/. I find it interesting that it gives credit to America’s enemies who have access to alcohol. I also find it interesting how it supports the fact that in WW2 the government decided that soldiers needed alcohol to help with relaxation and their morale as portrayed in this article https://www.nationalww2museum.org/war/articles/how-world-war-ii-saved-american-beer-brewing.
