Propaganda and the First World War

During the First World War, both the Central Power, and the Allied Powers would release propaganda pictures and poster supporting their war attitudes and war efforts. Below, is a piece of propaganda mocking from November 15, 1915 in the St. Louis Post Dispatch newspaper. To begin with, this piece of propaganda is mocking Germany as being short and fat. Additionally, in the picture it says “veritas” which means truth or reality in Latin. Lastly, it shows what will happen to the women in England if Germany wins the war.
