“I Decided To Wear A Veil Today”

The night before, [Redacted] had made a comment about the Bridge whispering and being moody, almost like a shy and insecure woman waking up, trying on different clothes, looking at the mirror from different angles.

The following morning this poem came to me suddenly and effortlessly. Also inspired by Hafiz. I think it quite nice.

“I decided to wear a veil today, But it is very thin;
So you can see everything. Everything.
But I can at least pretend to be modest.”
