The wise man observed the simple,
For a long time.
And finally, says:
“Master, you are wiser than me,
Teach me your subtlety.”
And means it.
Or a child. Or a fool. Or a bum. Or a dog.
Written in response to a section of the lecture Thusness, by Alan Watts.
