Are you planning a travel for Expo 2015 in Italy? Well, maybe this collection will interest you. And fascinates you, I hope.

Yes. I’ll tell you another story about Italy. I am so bored about italian paradoxal politics, the national absurd crisis and all the clichés the world laughes about. It’s time to go ahead. To look in another direction: the one of beautiful, straight, authentic Italy. Here you will find suggestions and ideas that unveil you unknown rarities, places and gems of italian heritage and territory. Small cities, villages, medieval churches, roman monuments. Particular landscapes, treasures of biodiversity, extraordinary people who will trasform your travel in an authentic experience of Italy.

Let’s start with the first idea. Today I will take you to Bagno Vignone, a little gem in the heart of Valle d’Orcia — Tuscany. All the valley is an Unesco heritage because of its typical hills, gentle cypresses, precious vineyards, medieval churches and villages. Not far from here you can explore Montepulciano, Montalcino, Pienza, San Quirico d’Orcia. Or — close to the village — you can follow the Via Francigena (the ancient route to Rome walked along by thousands and thousands of cristian pilgrims).

Bagno Vignone — Piazza delle Sorgenti

Bagno Vignone. A village, a square of termal water, a pool: Piazza delle Sorgenti (Spings Square). The history of this village goes around this heart of healthy water. Etruscans and Romans, Caterina da Siena and Lorenzo Il Magnifico: this place, the calm all around, the beauty of the landscapes and — last but not least! — good food and wine have been attracting everybody for centuries. Now, it’s waiting for you.
