We’re not new to this game.

Sure, we’ve never created anything quite like Exposure Journal, which we designed to help firefighters keep track of their exposures to carcinogens over time, but when it comes to developing health-based products, and, more specifically, applications tailored to the firefighting industry, we’ve been around the block a time or two.

We got into the development business in 2005. Since that time, we’ve worked with dozens of clients, including organizations like The National Institute of Health, The National Institute of Mental Health, the Department of Education, the American Lung Association, PDX Seminary, University of Oregon, and even more we can’t legally name.

Most recently, we joined forces with a long-time partner in crime to develop DataWellness, a medical records system for firefighters. We noticed a gap in the way that firefighters’ medical data was being stored long-term, and we sought to fill it by creating a safe, secure storage tool that keeps firefighters safe and departments in compliance with OSHA regulations. In the long run, the goal is to use DataWellness as a data warehouse for studying the health of firefighters to better inform policy and procedures for the fire service.

So yeah, you could say we care pretty deeply about improving the health and quality of life of our clients. And while Exposure Journal may be the first of its kind in our lineup, it’s simply the latest in a long line of tools that we’ve designed to help keep people safer and healthier than ever.
