With the MVP delivered, the full machine-learning capability will next be delivered in version 2.0

With Extend My Runway (EMR’s) time in the Infineon Co-Innovation Space approaching its end in 2023, after two years, new priorities are emerging and becoming a bigger part of our day. The new priorities include completing the full machine learning backend for our tech, generating sales revenue, and fundraising to build AI version 3.0.

Here are a few key highlights regarding the tech, marketing, and changes to our Telegram community rules that go into effect immediately.

Warning, this is a full update and longer. The Telegram community guidelines are at the end.

Improved UI for the EMR app delivered to Infineon

The MVP was launched just before Christmas, 2022. Several rounds of end-user feedback and testing were conducted within Infineon. Additionally, BNRG community members were invited to Join online design and MVP feedback processes in January 2023.

  • 27 total end users gave feedback on the MVP design
  • Online feedback was collected on January 30 (0 BNRG community members joined)
  • Online feedback was collected on January 31 (0 BNRG community members joined).

The feedback ultimately led to a discussion about the end-user experience. The app has data and nudges, but there was not yet an experience in the sense that is evocative for subscribers.

As a result, several UI improvements were made.

  • Nudges were made more prominent and sexy
  • Audio cafe added daily with 60–75 second podcast messages
  • Daily inspirational quotes
  • Surveys that enable even more personalised nudges
  • Design and colours that are a bit sexier
  • The entire design supports an approach best described as “10 to 150 seconds each day” as the individual chooses

The improved AI went live on Friday, March 10, via TestFlight on iPhone.

To date, many milestones have now been met.

  • July/August 2022, UI mock-up launched and feedback gathered
  • September through October worked with Infineon Technologies developers to begin building MVP
  • October 2022, the 10th and final analogue session was completed using the behavioural card sort exercise co-developed with Infineon and the ARISE Playbook and card sort
  • December, 2022, a Duke Dialogue article was published that featured EMR’s work alongside Infineon. https://dialoguereview.com/from-vertical-to-horizontal-leadership/
  • December 2022, Version 1.0 of the new UI launched
  • December 2022/January 2023 27 people interviewed
  • January 2023, BrainHealth Index launched which begins to create data and a baseline for measuring an individual's cognitive strengths and cognitive readiness (i.e., what we call BraiNergy)
  • March 10, 2023 Version 1.1 of UI awaiting approval from Apple Store (Still), improvements to create version 1.2 are underway, and back-end development underway

Progressing from the MVP’s Narrow AI to Full ML Backend

The work is now in a quiet period where the development team in Manila is building the machine learning (ML) backend.

Specifically, this involves moves from narrow Ai which was in the MVP to full ML capability. The narrow Ai has a series of six trigger events and based on user data the personalised nudges would be sent each day based on a set of variables. The technology, however, did not learn about each subscriber.

The full ML will add that learning capability. As a result, we will eventually be able to factor in hundreds of variables for a person and work to optimise the AI’s efficiency at personalising each nudge.

We expect to deliver the full ML capability in the first half of June 2023.

As we move to version 3, later in the year, we will design a data verification process and record on the Cardano blockchain that the verification was performed. This is in line with our original design and the desire to sell science-backed, verified data B2B. Getting Involved in BrainHealth Week and Brain Awareness Week 2023

Conducting the Research and Building a Brain Data Baseline

What we believe is Singapore’s first national study of BrainHealth was launched by EMR. This activity was described in the previous update.

In short, the data from this brain health study study provides a baseline for the AI. The research uses a control group and pre-post-test design to create a better baseline. Prof. Michael will also be conducting 250 hours of one-on-one coaching as part of this study.

The study and coaching are free of charge to the participants.

Emerging Priorities for 2023

With the delivery of the ML backend fast approaching, new priorities are emerging for 2023.

Sales revenue: Sales efforts were initiated in February 2023.

Fundraising: EMR is speaking with a series of organizations who are interested in the technology and funding the build-out of version 3 and beyond. These entities are in Asia and the Middle East.

Grants: EMR is pursuing grant opportunities in Singapore and the UK for technology-oriented grants.

Reiterating the BNRG Buy-Back Programme

EMR will be placing a priority on the BNRG buyback programme upon being funded via more traditional routes (e.g., early-stage fund, family office, etc.). As communicated several times previously, this assures that those jumping in see a return on their BNRG investment.

In a market where ADA is currently valued at more than 70% less than what the BNRG utility token was purchased at, it’s assumed this is a pretty good deal.

The date of the buyback programme will be announced after funding is secured and the first tranche is received (not before).

Announcing New Telegram Community Guidelines — Effective Immediately

The Extend My Runway Announcement channel (News @ Extend My Runway https://t.me/EMRNews) will remain live and unchanged. All EMR and BRNG announcements will appear in this group. This channel is for outgoing notifications only.

The second Telegram group, Extend My Runway (https://t.me/ExtendMyRunway) will with immediate effect have new guidelines in place and applied.

  • All communications should be kept professional.
  • Ad hominem attacks will no longer be accepted. Community members engaging in this practice will be banned.
  • Promoting other projects or opportunities will no longer be accepted. Community members engaging in this practice will be banned.
  • You are free to engage in any of these practices within your own group, but not ours.

Anyone banned can still follow the News channel and read future announcements about the buyback programme, participate in the research, learn about new client initiatives, join the design process, and more.

With the new community guidelines in place, EMR remains committed to building its brain-based technology, pursuing new business development, and launching our buyback programme as soon as possible.

Going forward, we simply ask that communications remain professional.
