RACI CHART TEMPLATE — Link below

Recently I was presented with a fantastic opportunity to pay it forward to young entrepreneurs. The incredible team at the ExtendNode for Entrepreneurs has started to publish resources for you to utilize in whatever way you want!

So here’s my first contribution. A RACI chart for use in Google sheets.

It is available for download here, so share it as you please!

For those unfamiliar with a RACI chart, it is an incredible alignment tool that helps to visually display who’s involved in each step of a task or project, and whos responsible for what?

So, what does RACI stand for anyway?

R — Responsible — this is “the” person. The one who makes sure it’s done and is responsible for completing or assigning the task to the team.

A — Accountable — This person has final decision-making authority for the task or project and is accountable if the job is incomplete. For every task/ subtask/ microtask, there is only one person with an “A” beside their name.

C — Consulted — An advisor, stakeholder, or subject matter expert who is consulted before a decision is made or an action is taken.

I — Informed — Must be informed before or after an action is taken.

I wish I had utilized RACI charts earlier as a first-time founder.

They helped to bring a lot of clarity to tasks/projects to be completed. They also fundamentally improved our team’s understanding of who was doing what, and who they needed to communicate with when they took an action or made a decision.
