I searched and searched, but I couldn’t find the story I needed so desperately to read. So, I wrote it myself.
I googled “soccer mom and vicodin”, after watching the movie Bad Moms and seeing Christina Applegate’s (perfect) character at the end of the movie admitting to taking a vicodin every 20 minutes in order to get through her day. Do you know what came up? “Suburban mom turns homeless crack prostitute.” Wait? What?
Where was the story of the high functioning busy AF mother who gets caught up in shit, sits in her shit, owns her shit, and gets off the shit?
I KNEW that story was out there, but I couldn’t find it. So, I wrote the fucking story.
I AM THE STORY!
What’s in the way is the way — Eckart Tolle
The pieces — BEFORE. These are the ones I can go back to anytime and remember. These are the rawness, the fear, the everything that so, so many women (and men) before me and after me I KNOW feel who are in the same situation.
And these? Well these are the unfolding, the doing, the healing, going through it, and growing through it.
This is my journey.
This is the year of my ascent.
This is me.

This is a an issue, a big one. The more it’s discussed, the more awareness, the more open… the less stigma, the less shame- will all help put us on a better path and Tell A Better Story.
