Win. That’s what you gain: winning.

No, we don’t win automatically.

Just because we exposed fraud does not mean Bernie would’ve won the primary.

Also, that lawsuit has been standing still for a while.

The lawsuit’s still going on. As it continues to progress, the DNC is incriminated even more.

Spoken like a true ignorant of what happens here. Crackdown of the press? Not new. Violence? Please. You got to do better than that.

Oh, and the children migrants, why are the majority from El Salvador then? Why are kids from Guatemala going too?

Again, easy to report from a comfy USA, not so easy when you live here and understand the complexity of the issues that you can type and source but not live and understand them.

Oh, so everything I posted means absolutely nothing because I am an ignorant American? Yep, that makes sense.

Those 9,000 Honduran children that fled? Doesn’t mean much at all!

Honduras becoming the “Murder Capital of the World” after the coup? Who cares?

Crackdown of the press and violence in Honduras? Well, that was always happening so it’s okay!

It’s okay if Zelaya’s successors commit human rights abuses because he did too!

You might want to take a seat here.

This is the equivalent of me telling you to take a seat because you’re not an American and clearly don’t know jack about American politics. It ain’t right. Look, I cited credible sources that tell the situation as it happened. If you’re not willing to acknowledge that, maybe you should take a seat here.

Losing strategy. Many Democrats agree with the “neoliberal, hawkish oligarchs”. What do you tell them? Their vote isn’t worth it?

Are you sure? It seems to be the case that the vast majority of Democrats overwhelmingly agree with Bernie Sanders’s agenda. It seems that a good majority of all American voters agree with him!

How many email stories did he get? Or FBI coverage?

How dare the media inform voters that Clinton was being investigated by the FBI?! Bernie Bros should be grateful that the media did their job from time to time!

Bernie Sanders wasn’t being investigated by the FBI nor was he in hot water for maintaining a private server as a top government official. Complaining about this is essentially complaining about the media not publishing lies about a specific candidate. The media barely covered Sanders before the primary formally started, anyway.

Once again, you don’t have to. Nobody asked you. You want to.

No, we have to. As citizens of this good Earth, we have a duty and moral obligation to care for our home and neighbors.

Also, it might be nice if you added sexism, racism, xenophobia, to your list of issues. Inequality can’t be fixed without fixing sexism and racism first.

I agree; those were merely a few examples. More needs to be done aside from what I listed.

Now that is a good idea. However, you can’t claim one if you’re not in it.

How do you know I’m not a Democrat?

Traditionally, populist messages from the Left never win…

What does this even mean? Populists on the Right can win but not the Left?

We offer a message on fair trade, alleviating poverty and inequality, and challenging the corrupt system in Washington. Voters like that. That’s why they voted for Barack “Hope and Change” Obama twice and Donald “Drain the Swamp” Trump once.

(I can’t find the The Economist article I read it on but in essence people associate populists messages from the Left to the failed Latin American governments that have experienced it)

People associate Leftist populism with failure, which is why Sanders won 13,000,000+ votes in the primary and was favored to beat Donald Trump.

As a side note, I should note that the “failures” of the leftist Latin American governments are exaggerated. Of course, this is the part where you scold me for “reporting from a comfy USA”.

Besides, it’s more and more apparent that Trump voters didn’t much care about his populist message but about his immigrant message.

Yes, Trump saw strong support in areas across the country that are hurting the most but we all know that those supporters just cared about immigration.

But if Bobby the Democrat in Portland wants a centrist to represent him, then what?

Then, Bobby votes for a centrist candidate. You’re acting as if I’m saying that Leftists are entitled to head the United States government. I’m not.

And another point, the majority of the country is left-leaning. In a legitimate democracy, the majority wins.

The VOX poll asked one issue…

You didn’t read the entire article.

You had her there. She came to support it, even with opposition she would’ve faced.

False.

They are. Until gerrymandering and voter suppression is fixed, they’ll be unbeatable because no legislation would pass the House.

They aren’t. A Democratic President can pass legislation by twisting a Republican Congress’s arms LBJ-style.

HA! Too weak. Good one. I guess he could’ve pushed them to the wall and force them to vote on things, right?

Yes, actually.

Let’s say President Obama wanted gun control reform. Here’s what he should’ve done:

He and every single Democratic surrogate should’ve went out onto every media outlet possible every single day, shouting at the top of their lungs that Republicans are blocking common sense legislation.

They should’ve attacked Republicans using any platform, the same way Fox News attacks them (except they would’ve been using legitimate attacks). Democrats should’ve mobilized the progressive base and American people as a whole. They should’ve held town halls every week.

Every time they would’ve gone to speak to the American people, they should’ve said, “Republicans don’t care if children are dying. Republicans don’t care that 90% of the country supports gun reform. Call your Congressman; make sure they vote for this piece of gun legislation. If they don’t, vote for their opponent in the next election.”

For every Democrat that didn’t want to vote for the gun reform, President Obama should’ve brought them in and threatened to support a primary opponent. He should’ve threatened to cut off their funding.

Every time the Republicans would’ve blocked a bill on gun control, the Democrats should’ve drafted a new bill — this time with even stronger provisions. That way, the conservatives in Congress would’ve had the choice between strong and stronger gun control measured. That way, there would’ve been no way they could’ve won.

The Democrats would’ve backed the GOP into a corner and the fight for gun control would’ve been won.

Barack Obama didn’t do that. He was too weak and compromising. The Democrats didn’t fight tooth-and-nail for legislation. Because of that, we lost.

Activists are holding them accountable NOW because of Trump…The organizing would’ve been limited and not in mass scale as it is right now. This activism is a direct response to Trump…

Yes, but Sanders had the ability to inspire the progressive base and activists to act to help hold a Republican-held Congress accountable. One of his most significant messages during his campaign was just about not electing a left-leaning President but by mobilizing millions of people.

There would be no town halls on ACA…

Legislators tend to hold town halls all the time on a variety of issues.

Yes you do, you just gave it away. You said you wouldn’t vote for a corporatist. That is a purity test.

Ah, ah, ah, I said I wouldn’t vote for an elitist Democrat if I didn’t have to. If I was a registered voter in a swing state, I would’ve voted for Clinton. Is it a purity test if you won’t vote for Donald Trump?
