Trump mixes up Davos with Devos

Almost causes an International Embarrassment

President Trump has the unique capacity and skill to somehow keep doing the unexpected, in spite of the whole world being fully prepared for him to do crazy, weird, and completely bombastic things, every single day. He always finds that one thing that you don’t expect from him and does it when you least expect him to do it.

Take this latest (almost) fiasco for example.

If Steve Bannon had still been around, Trump, in all likelhood would have been projected to show his middle finger to the WEF 2018 (World Econonic Forum), scheduled to happen in Davos, Switzerland, later this month, without really knowing what the forum is about.

Since Bannon is not around, on Jan 9, 2018, the White House issued a statement that President Trump is looking forward to the Davos Summit and that he is very keen on meeting with all the world economic leaders.

According to an anonymous White House staff member, yesterday was actually so close to being a total embarrassment for the White House. In fact, the White House probably would have had to clean up a bigger mess, if not for the timely acion taken by one of the Press Secretary’s assistants.

According to our source, Donald Trump had understood till yeserday that this was actually a Devos summit. (as in DeVos — Betsy DeVos). In his mind, he had assumed that he was being invited for a Betsy DeVos gala party (fancily named as Devos Summit), away from the cold Washington DC, where all other cabinet members would also show up, where he could play golf, eat cheeseburgers, drink diet coke, eat chocolate cakes, and may be grab some *******.

During a conversation with Kelly, when Trump casually mentioned how much he was looking forward to the warm weather, this staff member, who happened to be in the Oval Office to collect some paper work, quickly caught a whiff of something being wrong. She alerted her boss right away, and the rest as we know now, is a well avoided embarrassment.

In fact, if this had not been caught on a timely manner, Trump probably would have sent out a tweet last night about how much he was looking forward to going to the DeVos Summit.
