World is changing thru AI, IOT & 5G
Artificial Intelligence is in a rapid development and in a few years the machines will be smarter than we are; robot & cobot will improve themselves at the pace we couldn’t imagine now; a new era of knowledge and prosperity is starting, the humanoids will have the ability to perform the same human tasks but better and in less time and we will also get the possibility to widely understand the world. This is good but we need to be ever in control as A.I. will become pervasive and we will not yet be able to stop the game, as artificial intelligence will far surpass the human one we need to avoid to consider it as an oracle able to answer unintelligible questions. We cannot blindly trust machines.
Internet Of Things will establish a direct connection between machines without an human intervention. Machine will transfer information and take decision based on algorithms deprived of human control. We will soon see only the final result of all these interaction losing the full picture and we will not yet be involved in trivial decision and boring activities; machines will do all these tasks freeing human time for more important actions and cultural stuff. Fine! The price to pay is however the loosing of control; we don’t need now to check if the power is on to switch the light on, in the future we will not need to check if fridge, dishwasher, washing machines are full or working well as everything will go on without us.
5G is the IOT enabler, 6G will be its power activator. The main advantage of these new networks is their greater bandwidth and the higher download speeds that enable the Internet Of Things. Machine to machine talk will be enabled by these higher frequencies (millimeter waves). Anyway, despite the fact the 5G implementation is not yet confirmed as surely safe for the health its activation is going on around the world as the related business is very important. In 2011, the World Health Organization declared cellphones as a Class 2B carcinogen, meaning the technology may be linked to cancer; anyway is always a matter of the the mmwave field power we are, and will be exposed in the future.
