World Development Information Day- Digital Transformation in Healthcare Industry

It is crucial to our lives that we develop. Development is what we always strive for, from a personal perspective to a global one. Every year on October 24th, the United Nations celebrates “World Development Information Day”, recognizing this need and the importance of spreading information.

The United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) proposed measures on May 17th, 1972 to disseminate information and mobilize public opinion on trade and development issues before announcing 24th October as World Development Information Day.

However, several events in the last few years have interpreted the title differently. They have focused on how the Internet, mobile telephones, and other modern information technologies can be used to alert people and find solutions to trade and development problems. World Development Information Day had a specific aim of informing and motivating young people, and this change may help achieve that goal.
