Having a remote team is not an easy task. As a business owner, you know your business inside-out, but how do you express your needs and paint your expectations so your staff understand what it is required of them?

The power of imagery and video is paramount in the training stage. Regardless of how many protocols and to-do lists you have outlined, video and voice recordings will be the closest thing to you actually being in the office with your staff telling them all there is to know about your company, the role, the responsibilities and the expectations.

One of our favourite ways of communicating with our teams is through Camtasia. Camtasia lets you record a video of what you currently have on your computer screen, by being able to select certain sections, adding notes, further explanations or graphics to pinpoint specific areas. The beauty of Camtasia is that you can edit your audio and video of your recording separately as they get imported onto their own section on your dashboard for easier editing.

You can also put a face to the voice as well, by turning your webcam, so while you do your screengrab, you can also add yourself in a corner for a more personalised message.

The possibilities are endless and there’s truly a lot to be done with Camtasia, from importing existing videos into your editing for clearer explanations to noise removal and leveling.

A true life-saver when it comes to effectively delegating and training your virtual staff.
