Will creating unique posts for each of your social media platforms make a huge difference for your audience? Is each social media that different that it needs the message tailored to its own requirements? Or should you just take one post and publish it across all your social media?

Some of the self-acclaimed “social media gurus” would say that it’s important to tailor your posts for each platform, but in reality it’s a waste of time. The truth is that things that resonate with people on Facebook are going to resonate just the same on Twitter, LinkedIn or even Google+. Sure, the description or presentation should be different, or talk the same “language” as your followers, but at the end of the day it should still be the same information they read. You can have multiple links to the same article to test which platform brings you more traffic, to then optimize your post timings and reactions, but in what content is regarded, don’t stress too much.

When you are creating awareness and motivating people to click through, or if you are sharing invaluable information that will help them in business or their personal life — it really doesn’t matter which social network you are posting on. Simply, human nature doesn’t change whether you are on Facebook or Twitter. When your post is actionable, gets attention and has value, that’s what matters.

The dilemma on whether to write unique posts for each social media account is one of the major reasons why most business owners cannot start writing their own posts or maintain a daily activity. They keep getting lost in details and postpone everything.

So why don’t you just go ahead, write that one post and then share it on your social networks. Or otherwise, if you’re really struggling to find time to write a good blog post, check out our super staff profiles. Our wonderful VAs can create fresh, unique content for all your social media accounts, daily. As a matter of fact, this one post has been written by one of them! Check them out here.
