Empower your teams

Your staff is your vessel for success. Without it you would not be able to grow and develop. There would not be a company culture, there would not be an identity. As much as you are the one directing the enthusiasm, your staff is responsible for bringing all of your ideas to life.

The sooner you understand how important your staff is, the better for your company’s success. You need to know how to empower your staff, allow them to innovate, give them the space for decision making, where they will be able to learn and make mistakes of their own.

Working for someone is part of the life development. It’s like any other relationship in which both parties should be free to be who they are, respecting one another, and listening to one another. A successful employer-employee relationship is based on trust.

Your employee should be free to learn, and even if that learning means that you lost a client, or jeopardised a contract, know that it’s all part of a learning curve. So if you want to train someone to do what you are doing, there are risks involved, that you as a mentor must take upon yourself.

Your employee has the right to speak up, and have a say in the business, whenever they feel like things could be improved or changed. Your staff should feel free in the company to contribute to projects, which ultimately builds upon your company’s values.

Nurture your staff for a happier work space, encourage your staff to allow for growth and success, trust your staff for a healthier work life.
