Facebook Pixel for your business

Last week we’ve covered Facebook Lookalike Audiences and what they can do for your marketing. This week we want to discuss with you about what Facebook Pixel can do for your advertising and why it’s important to use this tool as well.

Facebook pixels allow us generally to track people who have visited our website already, specific pages or throughout, so we can then remarket to them or to similar kind of audiences. The key when using pixels is to be as targeted as possible with your offering so you can be super specific with what your audience is interested in.

There are two types of pixels, one optimized for Conversions and the other one for Website Custom Audiences.

The way that Facebook conversion pixels work is by placing a snippet of code on a specific web page. When a user visits the page, it triggers the pixel and counts a “conversion”. It can be used for tracking how many people clicked on your ad, how many sales you’ve made, how many checkouts, registrations, leads, key page views, adds to cart you’ve registered.

You can use Facebook pixels to tell Facebook what you want out of your campaigns i.e. increase conversions, get more likes to the page, increase engagement of your app.

The way website custom audience pixels work is by placing it in the head template of your site so that it applies to all pages. Website custom audiences are created for retargeting. This pixel will create custom audiences of people who visited your website from any sources and will allow you to dive even deeper into advertising.
