To put it simply, LinkedIn is for businesses what Tinder is for single people. An endless list of opportunities that if you play right, you might end up signing the deal of your life.

It’s been too long now that LinkedIn hasn’t been used to its fullest potential. Besides the very well known company page, LinkedIn actually has the capability to target specific people that are interested in the services you have to offer. Through direct messaging, group engagement, ads and article posting, LinkedIn can turn out to be a real golden mine for business owners, particularly in the B2B industries.

So how do you get successful on LinkedIn?

Besides constantly getting in contact with new prospects, your old contacts need to be looked after as well. So never forget to ask clients to recommend you on LinkedIn. Their recommendation will be published on your LinkedIn profile and will be visible to their entire LinkedIn network as well.

Use LinkedIn to build your network — Search LinkedIn’s Groups directory to find industry networks that your company might fit in. Engage in conversations and give solutions to people’s problems. Redirect them to your website if the answer is in there. This is a great opportunity to win new business or at least find prospects clients to pitch your business to.

Convince potential customers of your expertise by sharing regular blog posts. Show you’re an expert in your industry by posting regular content aimed at informing and educating your audience. Once you post it on your profile, you can even take it up a notch and advertise your post to peers who are interested in receiving similar information.
