Why Should Your Team be Accountable?

Sounds obvious, but not that many business owners realise the importance of accountability. Many of us believe that our employees as soon as they get a job they will do it by the books, and follow instructions and work towards meeting objectives. It’s not always like that.

Employees need to be taught to take responsibility over their work, regardless of the outcome. Your employee needs to be able to tell you how a project has evolved and what were the things that he/she has done to alter the course of that evolution. Your team needs to be objective enough to make the difference between success and failure, and own it! This will not only pave the road to better communication, but it will grow your team stronger.

Because if your team knows where things went wrong, they can make sure next time they will know how to avoid that from happening. But it’s obviously a big learning curve for both yourself and your team. Because it’s hard to know what to ask of, when you’re not quite sure of what you want yourself. We all know we want big cheques in our banks and smoothly run teams, but very of us know how to actually make that happen.

Here at Ezy VA we have made it our mission to educate all of our clients in building high performing teams, and teaching them how to train their staff and set objectives, regardless of whether they’re choosing to work with a VA or not. Not to spoil the surprise too much, but we encourage you to watch.this.space and prepare for some serious business running!
