Go big or go home.

The Austrian GP provided a lot of insights for the upcoming races for the European leg of the 2019 Formula 1 season.

  1. Mercedes don’t operate well in the heat. Europe was hit by a heatwave last week and this includes Austria. Track temperatures reaching up to 55 degrees affected the teams in how they are able to maintain tyre wear.
  2. Ferrari is better at top speed tracks that don’t require many corners. Shown on tracks such as Bahrain, Canada, Austria. If you look at the layouts of the upcoming tracks, similar tracks include Great Britain, Germany, Belgium and Italy. That's 5 of the upcoming 6 races.
  3. Max Verstappen holds secret power. With the Honda engine and Red Bull chassis, whether it was down to tyre maintenance, cutting the life of the engine by turning up the power or sheer talent, we know that Red Bull has the ability.
  4. McLaren really is that good. Norris putting in an amazing qualifying and holding his top 10 spot as well as Sainz coming from 19th to finish in the top 10 also.

The potential changes to your F1 fantasy teams and ultimately the season will be very interesting in the coming weeks so keep a lookout for our recommendations on the blog.
